The Milford School District (SAU 40) operates a one-to-one Chromebook initiative for high school and middle school students. Students and their families are responsible for any damages, regardless of whether the damage was accidental or not. The District offers accidental Chromebook insurance to cover the repair costs for accidental damage, loss, theft, and other perils. Students who do not have insurance, or if the damage was not accidental, will be charged the full cost of repair or replacement. A list of repair costs can be found here. We highly recommend families purchase Chromebook insurance. Chromebook insurance must be purchased each school year and it is the responsibility of the family to manage the renewal each year.
Families can purchase insurance using the link below. There is no deadline to purchase insurance, but claims filed immediately after, or shortly after, purchasing insurance will most likely be denied.
