Dear Milford Families, Faculty and Staff, and Community Members,

As we approach the Memorial Day weekend, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the significance of this important holiday and its relevance to the Milford school district community.

Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. It is a reminder of the cost of freedom and the value of our democratic principles. Our schools play a vital role in imparting the lessons of history and the importance of civic responsibility to our students. Over the past week, our students have engaged in activities and discussions about the meaning of Memorial Day, the history of military service, and the values of courage and selflessness.

I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to all the veterans and their families within our community. Your service and sacrifices are deeply appreciated, and your stories provide invaluable lessons for our students.

As we enjoy the long weekend, let us remember the true purpose of Memorial Day.

Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our students and community of Milford.

Sincerely,
Superintendent Michaud
